In September 1999 George Kanelopoulos helped establish the Beverly Ann's Kids Fund by making a $10,000 donation in honor of his mother, Beverly Ann Kanelopoulos. Since that time People To People has used the Beverly Annís Kids Fund to provide hundreds of children with meals, clothing, and medical assistance. This fund has been established to provide financial support where immediate help is needed until a full-time sponsor is secured for the children. The initial donation in memory of Beverly Ann has long since been sent overseas, but the vision lives on through the lives of individuals who have helped shoulder the burden through their prayer and financial contributions.
