Passport Summary
World Missions Ministries offers a basic missions training course to prepare new missionaries for the field. It provides three weeks of concentrated studies designed to give students a solid understanding of the missionary challenge in the twenty-first century. This course is for the missionary candidate interested in serving with WMM, college students, and all those with an interest in missions. Experienced missionaries, missions executives, and others with relevant expertise will teach the courses from a practical viewpoint.
The summer course will convene for three weeks on the campus of Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A student may attend any or all weeks, paying a stipulated amount for tuition, room, and board.
Students may take all three courses for college credit, earning three semester hours each week. Graduate school credit is also available. If taken for credit, students will enroll in SCU and pay tuition as stipulated by the college. Credit hours may be transferred to other colleges. All academic requirements must be met, including additional outside readings and exams.
Missionary candidates approved by the World Missions Board and currently raising support are expected to attend all three weeks.
