Juarez, Mexico
Gary Burd, TEAM leader

The Great Plains Conference sponsored a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico recently. There were 37 people on the team. They remodeled a small building next to the church that will be used for a caretaker's residence as well as classrooms for the church. They put on a new roof, new sheetrock, new windows, and doors as well as insulation.

They also worked on the main building where they are starting a new church. The pastor of this church is supported out of the Great Plains conference and part of their ministry is to rescue young girls from the street and help them refocus their lives.

The team had a kids crusade each day and gave away bicycles and blankets.  They had as high as 130 kids.  Evangelistic services were held later in the day and at least ten people received salvation.

This new church plant is running about 35 in attendance and the future looks great.
