Following his trip to Guyana, Dan Clowers held the First Caribbean/West Indies Congress on Church Ministries. This was held in San Fernando, Trinidad and attended by local leaders and Bishops and leaders from other Caribbean nations. It was a special treat to have Rev. Bill Terry, Men’s Ministries Director, as one of our guest speakers, and he shared fantastic ministry advice concerning discipleship. Also in attendance was Bishop Ron Moore from Upper South Carolina Conference and Bob Russo Director of Men’s Ministry for the conference; both men were also able to share. Along with the Congress, they were able to share literature and resources with all of our leaders in the Caribbean that they have needed for a long time. They look forward to next year's Congress which is planned to be held in Jamaica.

Also, while hey were there, they were able to introduce the new missionaries to Trinidad, Douglas Rosales and family from Venezuela. At present, the Rosaleses are planning to return to Trinidad to look for housing. Douglas’s budget has already been completely underwritten by the Caracas Church. The plan is to establish a Mission Training Center for Latin American students to prepare them for Cross-Cultural Ministry.
