A message from Linwood Berry in Spain:

Once again I send you greetings from Spain!  I just got copies today of the newspaper articles that were published this past Sunday regarding the Síntesis Coffee House and Culture Center and our present art show. We were interviewed by three newspapers; 2 dailies and 1 weekly, and our story was published in all of them.

Global Castilla La Mancha is a weekly newspaper. They gave us a very good half page article in full color.

La Tribuna is the most widely read paper in Toledo.  They own a TV station which also came by.  They have a full-time professional art critic on staff who gave us a very good review. My photo, along with a teaser was on the front page and the article about Síntesis in the center section. They gave us a full-page which was also in color. I don’t know if it is evident from the scan, but we’re talking about a FULL PAGE in a SERIOUS newspaper. This level of positive publicity doesn’t compare to anything we’ve experienced since we’ve been in Spain

El Día is the oldest Toledo paper and also very widely read. Their interview was intense. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how it would come out, but as you see it also was very good. They gave me 2 full pages! I had made a tract about the show because many of the paintings had a prophetic message attached. I used the paintings as a launching pad to talk about spiritual themes to the viewers as they asked about the paintings. The journalist from El Dia was especially interested. In his article, which was very positive, he closes with quotes from my personal testimony which was part of the tract.  He specifically quoted me saying, “I am not ashamed to say that Jesus Christ is very present in my way of seeing and interpreting the world around me.” The headline he chose for the article was also a direct quote.  It read, “Toledo is a Spiritual and Creative City”.

This is what we are trying to do in Europe – take a dialogue about faith out of the church sanctuary and into the marketplace. I am very pleased!

On July 29th we will gather in Sintesis to celebrate a formal church meeting with 40 people, and formally organize the church in Toledo city. This church is direct fruit from the coffee house, cultural center and art gallery. (The church has been meeting but without being formally organized and brought into the conference for 6 months).

There are many doors opening to this kind of ministry and I have invitations from within and without the IPHC to do this in Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon and Vienna.

Many blessings,

Lin Berry
