Roger and Mary Gorman have served as missionaries of the Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 20 years. During that time they have been involved in several areas of education. They spent the years from 1985-2003 in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa, as principal/administrator and teachers at Cape Bible Training Centre. After earning his doctorate of missiology degree, Roger was appointed as church education ministries director for all of Africa, putting him over all Bible schools and Christian education in Africa.

This necessitated a move to the IPHC Africa office in Krugersdorp, South Africa. From there Roger has made numerous trips into other parts of the continent to visit and encourage the faculty and students of the 13 Bible schools in Africa.

Mary conducts research and journalism for the office of the overseas ministry coordinator. She has developed the Discovery series which highlights the approximately 40 African countries where the IPHC is active, and she does various research projects and writes for church publications so that "the whole world may know.”

Now in their 24th year as missionaries the Gormans have been appointed as academic dean of the first ever missionary candidate school. The school will be located at the Africa office headquarters and will provide cross-cultural training for American Bible school students with a call to missions. From this endeavor, World Missions Ministries expects to see a harvest of young, eager, enthusiastic missionaries enter the exciting world of missions.
